'MU265' BOOKCASE , c. 1923
Low bookcase in walnut veneer and burr walnut, featuring a central closed compartment flanked by open shelving on either side. The top surface includes a central raised section, designed to accommodate a sculpture or table lamp. Resting on a solid base, the lateral ends of the piece are shaped like tulip petals — a form that inspired several of Pierre Chareau’s designs.
