Silvered metal sauce boat resting on a small pedestal with wavelet decoration and its spoon with the handle decorated with swan neck, the whole taking the shape of the palmiped.

Stamped "PROD. CHRISTOFLE", "FRANCE" et "GALLIA" and the O.C. trademark with the horse head of Maison Christofle on the base.

Provenance

The first version of this emblematic piece by Christian Fjerdingstad was presented at Maison Christofle in 1925. At that time it was made of amber and silver. Its commercial version appeared in 1935 in the Gallia catalogue, the trademark registered by Christofle in 1898 which ceased its activity in 1937.
