PIERRE CHAREAU (1883-1950)

"MB 241A" game table, circa 1926

Brazilian rosewood game table also called "Table Mouchoir" with a fixed top rounded on the extremities. The middle of the square table top is set with hinged panels. The center when open shows a beige felt cover.
A small notch allows one to open the square top. At both end, the top is supported by two solid curved legs and by two hinged "L" shaped supports on the sides. The oval shelf holds two small gilded-brass ash-trays. 

Stamped "PC" on the back of the top.
