Vase « Spirales, damiers, carrés et réserves verticales » , circa 1923

Exceptional cornet vase with a wide corolla neck; the shape reminiscent of an antique amphora.
Proof in copperware mounted with a hammer.
The rich and covering falling decoration of the neck realized with fire patina and silver inlays on a richly nuanced red background, also fire patinated.
Our vase is similar to the one kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (inv. 24.157), gift of Mrs Florence Blumenthal in 1924 following its acquisition at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs of the same year.
Signed Cl. LINOSSIER under the base.

H 24,5 cm (H 9.6 in)
