"Constellation" box, circa 1915-1920

Spherical box whose lid and base fit together in a cut-out. The grip is in the form of a drop.

Proof made of ivory very finely carved with a decoration in relief enhanced, in part, with gilding and enriched with pearls and turquoise.

Signed "C. MÈRE" under the base.
