Overmantel Mirror, c. 1930
Overmantel mirror in the style of Louis Süe (1875–1968) and André Mare (1885–1932), for the Compagnie des Arts Français. Large bevelled mirror plate within a carved and gilded wood frame. The uprights are decorated with fluted motifs, while the arched crest is carved with stylised floral ornamentation characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic.
