GILBERT POILLERAT
SIDE TABLE, c. 1940
Based on a design by André Arbus, this piece features a base in patinated and gilded wrought iron, enriched with a frieze of oval motifs accented by gilded beads, four rings, and a twisted rope detail. The four elegantly twisted legs terminate in finely crafted gilt wrought-iron doe’s hooves. The ensemble is completed with a round travertine top.
