Large wall light with a gilt-bronze mount enclosing a carved alabaster reflector. Its curved form and the warm tone of the alabaster create a soft, diffused light, filtered through the natural veining of the stone.

For the design of this wall sconce, Alfred Porteneuve drew inspiration from the famous 'Eventail' wall sconces created by his uncle Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann in 1925.
Provenance
Formerly in the collection of Jules Deroubaix, a friend of the artist. Later passed down through the family.1
